The QuatroPBC system is installed after the press, above the conveyor. Pallets with tiles passing under the system are measured non-contact with an industrial laser with an accuracy of +/- 0.5 mm. The measurement range for the height of stones is from 20 to 400 mm.
The height of each brick is determined by scanning the entire pallet and measuring the height between the surface of the pallet on which the tile rests and the face of the tile. This method of measurement allows measuring the height of the bricks as accurately as possible, even if the pallet is crooked.
When measuring the height of a product, only the flat surface of the tile is taken into account, therefore, cracks, holes, and inclusions do not distort the measurement result.
Thus, QuatroPBC measures the height of the products from the surface of the pallet. The height is determined by an industrial laser as the pallet passes under the machine.
Irregularities of the pallet do not distort measurements. Since the laser makes a measurement at many points around each tile.
